The membership of the Organization presently stands at thirty one - fifteen each from Africa as full member and Asia and Korea Rural Community Corporation (KRC), Republic of Korea as one associate member,
AARDO invited Republic of Seychelles and Uganda to join the Organization as its distinguished members.
The Regional Office of AARDO for the Far East, Republic of Korea distributed publication on “Fifty Years of Cooperation for Rural Transformation 1962-2012” to seven embassies of the prospective member countries located in Korea as well as to the Under Secretary of Agrarian Reforms, The Philippines and the Vice-Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia to enable them to know more about the activities of AARDO.
- In order to keep prospective member country governments acquainted with the policies and programmes of the Organization, the AARDO Secretariat continued sending them AARDO publications like Newsletter, Annual Report, African-Asian Journal of Rural Development and other informative literature. Further, the Secretary General paid courtesy calls on the heads of diplomatic missions of prospective member countries in New Delhi in order to persuade them to impress upon their governments to consider joining AARDO as its members.
