To support member countries in planning and implementing their rural development projects, AARDO provides with the needed experience, expertise and guidance by way of making available the services of experts in specific fields. On receipt of such a request from member countries, expert(s) are deputed to a country. To facilitate this process, AARDO Secretariat has prepared a data bank of experts relating to various fields of agriculture and rural development and uses services of experts as and when required. Besides, AARDO also utilizes the large repository of trained Indian agricultural scientists who have been working in the apex level agricultural institutions on a wide variety of issues.
Under the programme, AARDO meets expenses on both-ways airfare (economy class) and pay honorarium for the first month to expert/consultant. The beneficiary country is required to meet the expenses on local hospitality, including boarding, lodging, local transportation etc., and also pay honorarium from the second month onwards. This activity will continue during the triennium.
Under this programme, AARDO deputed expert from India to Mauritius in May 2016 on "Restructuring and Consolidation for Cooperative Dairy Sector in Mauritius” and from India to Namibia in February 2017 on "Addressing the challenges of the Agriculture sector through Low Cost Organic Agriculture practices in Namibia". The experts, after completion of the assignments, submitted their reports.
