Keeping in view of the need of the member countries in planning and implementing their rural development projects, it is proposed to provide such countries with the needed experience, expertise and guidance by way of making available the services of experts in specific fields. On receipt of such a request from member countries, expert(s) would be deputed to a country. To facilitate this process, AARDO Secretariat has prepared a data bank of experts
relating to various fields of agriculture and rural development and uses services of experts as and when required. Besides, AARDO also utilizes the large repository of trained Indian agricultural scientists who have been working in the apex level agricultural institutions on a wide variety of issues.
Under the programme, AARDO meets expenses on both-ways airfare (economy class) and pay honorarium for the first month to expert/consultant. The beneficiary country is required to meet the expenses on local hospitality, including boarding, lodging, local transportation etc., and also pay honorarium from the second month onwards. AARDO has deputed expert from India to Mauritius in May 2016 on “Restructuring and Consolidation for Cooperative Dairy Sector in Mauritius”.
