RESEARCH STUDIES

AARDO will undertake research studies/action research during 2009-2011 on the below mentioned and other related themes that are relevant to most of the member countries. The studies will be undertaken in collaboration with research institutes, universities and NGOs located in member countries. Some of the possible areas of research studies/action research are:

i
)           Economic and Social Viability of Agri-Business;
 

ii)          Climate Change and Sustainable Agricultural Development;
 

iii)         Socio-Economic Issues;
 

iv)         Action Research on Disease Resistant Coconut: The Case of the Cape Saint Paul’s Wilt Disease in Ghana;
 

v)           Action Research on Corporate Farming in Ghana;
 

vi)          Research study on Promotion of Trade between Regional Blocs like the Greater Arab Free Trade Agreement (GAFTA) and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN);
 

vii)          Action research projects in collaboration with some research institutes on Comprehensive Village Development Programme (CVDP); and
 

viii)          Other areas as identified by the Regional Offices as per the triennium development goals.
