Keeping in view of the needs of AARDO member countries in planning and implementing their rural development projects, it is proposed to provide such countries with the needed experience, expertise and guidance by way of making available the services of experts in the required fields. On receipt of such a request from the member country, expert is deputed. To facilitate this process, AARDO Secretariat has prepared a data bank of experts relating to various fields of agriculture and rural development and uses services of experts as and when required. Besides, AARDO also utilizes the large repository of trained Indian agricultural scientists who have been working in the apex level 45 agricultural institutions on a wide variety of issues.

Under the programme, AARDO meets expenses on both ways air fare (economy class) and pays honorarium for the first month to expert/consultant. The beneficiary country is required to meet the expenses on local hospitality, including board and lodging, local transportation, etc., and also pay honorarium from second month onwards.
