Human Resource Development (HRD)
Development of human resources has been one of the core areas of concerns for AARDO. To strengthen capacity of the human resource pool, the Organization has been consistently diversifying and innovating its strategies to fulfill demand of the member countries. However, majorities of the members still require both technical and technological support to improve their rural areas. Hence, AARDO supplements their efforts by providing opportunities to their officials/experts to jointly discuss their problems, learn from each others’ experiences, exchange views, ideas and information among themselves.
The Technical Work Programme for triennium 2025-2027, beside capacity building programme, will sharpen its focus on accomplishing the objectives of the Strategic Framework 2030, among others, to further push the transfer of accessible and affordable farm technologies through AARDOPedia.
The diversification of AARDO’s HRD, both at the international and national level, accelerated when online programmes particularly during COVID pandemic became demand driven, having multiplier impact including larger canvas of participation and cost effective calculation. AARDO seized this opportunity to spread its activities to cover both member and eligible member countries for networking and partnership building. During the triennium 2025-2027, under HRD, AARDO will cover the following activities: i) International Training Programmes; ii) New Training Programmes; iii) International Workshop cum Training Programme, iv) Long term Capacity Building Programme: Ph.D/Master/Bachelor level Scholarship v) International/ Regional Workshops/ Seminars/Conference/ Round Table/Summit/Symposium; vi) Field/National level training programme vii) Online Training Programmes/ E-Lectures/ Webinar; viii) Participatory Technical Cooperation Programme - Study Visits; ix) Deputation of Experts/Consultants; and x) Research Studies and Policy Briefs.
